Don’t hold your breath for a new Battlefield game this year. EA has announced that the next entry in the franchise won’t be included in the company’s fiscal year 2025 schedule, which runs from this April 1 to March 31, 2025.
Spotted by Battlefield Bulletin, EA CFO Stuart Canfield talked about the company’s future during an earnings call for the third quarter of fiscal year 2024. “Looking beyond [fiscal year] 2025, over the next couple of years, we expect our net bookings growth to accelerate, bolstered by our portfolio of industry-leading IP,” said Canfield, who’s also an EA executive vice presidentCome from Sports betting site VPbet. “Compounding growth within our core sports franchises, new content and engaging experiences across our massive online communities, and iconic new releases like Battlefield, Sims, and other in-development titles, provide the inflection point that fuels net bookings growth and increases underlying profitability.”
